Patrick lives out a childhood dream. (And I get to write about a grown-up one)
In Silence
Patrick must come to terms with the effects of that awful adoption interview. A companion piece to The Thing That Matters. From a prompt by LABexperiment on Tumblr.
This fic is set at the end of Series 4 Episode 5. Patrick has begun his recovery from his near-breakdown, and Shelagh has found resources within she hadn’t known existed.
I’m going to give this a Three Kettle rating, primarily because of the story’s setting (a bath), However, I think the kettles better reflect a level of intimacy rather than steam, which I think is actually kind of hot.
Patrick should learn to pay attention…
This was my very first fic, EVER.
Wherein Patrick gets a black eye, and Shelagh gets…
This is my second ever fic, and you can see the depths of my madness even then.
An exploration of Patrick’s thoughts as he learns to understand love. A companion piece to “Trying To Hear God.”
What was in those letters? This one makes me sigh. Plus, it’s how I became friends with TurnadetteFanGirl.
Full disclosure: I’m not a man, I’m not even a boy (see what I did there?). So I may not be fully qualified here.
How Timothy and Patrick find their way to a new family.
After they make a start, again…
A little steamy, but totally PG. Sorry. 😉
And Shelagh learns to put her stamp on something, too.
She didn’t let him speak when she should have…
Birthdays can be bittersweet.
What to do during naptime?
Happy wife, happy life…
This one came about as I started to teach My Girl to drive. I completely sympathize with poor Doctor Turner.
There comes a time in every father’s life when he has to face certain questions…
Inspired by an anonymous prompt on CtMficpromts.
One evening, Shelagh asks for clarification from Patrick. Who knew Fred could cause such consternation?
Just a wee bit on the steamy side…
And Shelagh learns to put her stamp on something, too.
This one was the very first prompt challenge for me on Tumblr, I think. The exchange went like this: Anonymous said: Prompt: Patrick buying Shelagh’s engagement ring. BWAHAHA! You’ll never sleep.
The original plan for this was a few one-shots, but it took on a mind of its own, and soon I was in a full-blown, eighteen chapter character study.
There’s a sweet little moment in Chapter that’s inspired by artwork by SincerelyRobinK. Check out her Tumblr blog!
Can Shelagh convince Patrick it’s time for a new car?
Patrick decides it’s time to move on.
